3. Situation and perspectives in Bavaria by Mr. Bernd-Joachim Pantze
- Need for a more structured Tourism approach
- Need of support for cultural preservation
- 2nd of July a Bavarian Association with 20 houses will be formed
- After constitution of Association, brochures will be developed, as well as information available in the web page
- Marketing of the Association will be made in International Fares as well as through mailing lists
- Bavaria has an elaborate work plan to assure continuity
- Dissemination of the project to other regions of Germany
4. Situation and perspectives of in Slovenia by Mr. Dusan Kranberger
- There are many castles, but a hand full of manors. 41 where identified
- 19 potential houses have been identified in Ljubljana
- Deep renovation is needed for the interior of the houses, eventhough the exteriors are in acceptable state
- The infrastructures need counselling and financing
- There are problems with OWNERSHIP issues, which is a stumbling block to swift progress of the project
- The houses will be classified into 3 categories, with distinct criteria
- Marketing strategies are to be drawn-up
- The basic requisites of quality for this project have been established as a starting point
- A reservation system is to be implemented
- The future Institute/Board will coach the house owners
- Ways for financing the Institute will have to be looked at
- A letter of intention signed by 18 house owners will take place soon
- The project has to preserve its IDENTITY, as well as each region
5. Situation and perspectives in Vas County by Mr. Karoly Adams
- Historical background of Hungary, and the explanation of why it is delayed in the project
- Explained the difficulty of the funds from PHARE
- Counselling in the restoration of the interior of the houses will take place in 3 months by external consultants
6. The role and experience of Europa Traditionae Consortium by Mr. Calheiros
- History of Europe of Traditions
- The philosophy behind the Turismo de Habitação
- Comments on the positions of the 3 Partners with respect to the Project:
- Bavaria - close to form Association
- Hungary - will form an Association soon, and meanwhile will establish the Quality, Legal framework
- Slovenia - has established the technical pre-requisites and will fine tune it, and then form the Association
